Iron Tide Command: why your fleets keep starving
I lost my first Iron Tide Command campaign not to enemy fleets but to my own greed. I pushed my ships across the map, won every skirmish, and then watched them wither because I'd outrun my supply.
The map is really a logistics puzzle wearing a war-game costume. Every fleet draws from your nearest port, and the further out they sail, the thinner the supply gets. Set up forward depots before you advance, not after.
A trick that clicked for me: keep one slow, cheap fleet purely as a mobile supply relay. It never fights, it just follows behind the main force and keeps the lines short. Boring, but it wins campaigns.
Also, don't be afraid to retreat. Pulling back to consolidate feels like losing ground, but a rested, resupplied fleet beats a stranded one every single time.
